| Caleta
de Fuste - El Castillo
The architecture of the tourist complex to the south of Puerto del Rosario,
with the Caleta de Fuste yachting marina, is regarded as exemplary. Around
the old fort and along the sandy bay, the holiday complexes are prettily
arranged, with plenty of plants.
There is no lack of leisure activities. In the centre of town, there are
bars and restaurants of various categories, from an English pub to the
exclusive “Restaurante Puerto Castillo”, with a view of the
harbour. Numerous shops, including a German bakery, invite you to browse.
The town has its own round-the-clock medical service.
If you want, you can surf (even as a beginner) or dive, cycle, and play
tennis or squash. The sandy bay located right in the town is particularly
suitable for families with small children.
In the harbour, yachting trips with picnics and deep-sea angling are available.
Outside El Castillo, there is an open-air museum with salt works and lime-burning
kilns. It is easy to reach on foot.
