The name stands for an attempt at more exclusiveLa Pared tourism that was made in 1966. To date, the complex consists of an exclusive hotel with a collection of bungalows, plus detached private houses that are more or less in keeping in what will be a garden city (if all goes as planned!) on the north-west coast of Jandia. Conditions are favourable: drinking-water comes from natural caverns in the mountains, free of charge because no pumps are needed, only gravity. Electricity is supplied be UNELCO, and the major roads are asphalted.
